PD News Contributing Researcher, Candidate, USC Master of Public Diplomacy
Virana is a a first-year graduate student in the Public Diplomacy Program at USC. She graduated from Parahyangan Catholic University with a degree in International Relations. During her undergraduate years, Virana spent her summers teaching English in Turkey and joining several Model United Nations (MUN) around the world, one that sparked her interest in pursuing diplomacy by working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia.
During her time in the Ministry, Virana was in charge of the digital diplomacy part of the ministry, managing the social media accounts and facilitating Indonesian Media for reporting missions around the world, from United Mission General Assembly in New York to Humanitarian Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Her interest includes digital and cultural diplomacy and East Asia Region with particular focus in China and South Korea.
